Service Programs

What Does VAAA Do?

VAAA secures services for older adults and persons with disabilities through contracts and purchase of service agreements with local organizations, and then monitors these providers for the quality and effectiveness of the care given.

Area Agencies on Aging are mandated under the federal Older Americans Act to serve as visible advocates on behalf of older persons. The Area Agency on Aging works to represent the interests of older persons by educating public officials, consumer advocates and the community about older adult needs.

We’re here to give families and caregivers the support they need to bring
their loved ones home. Our nursing home transition program makes going
home a choice. Take a look at this video explaining how we can help your
loved ones come home.
